Book/Cowboy Hat Update

IMG_0194_0027The book, Lessons From Everest that I started a year ago is really taking shape! I have help from book consultant Lisa Tener [www.lisa tener.com] , who is reviewing my proposal and first two chapters as we speak ; plus day to day editing by Jack Galvin [both are published authors] and Pat Piscopio from my office [an author as well].  I am getting so much great input that my plan is to take all suggestions and let them roil about my cerebrum for a time then spit out the finished award-winning product!  I expect my agent to start soliciting publishing houses before the ice in my driveway melts.  I can safely say that I am the first author to describe Everest-as-metaphor for overcoming difficulties in life, but still use lines such as 'waving my hands like a drunken Yankee fan' or 'I spotted' and have them fit perfectly.  Cowboy Hat Update Ahead!  I forgot to caption the above picture of Phinjo Sherpa from the '08 expedition. Thanks to bro Scott Schnackenberg for the 'Case' hat.  Speaking of cowboy hats son Kurt and I will be leaving for Nepal with a white one to present to brother Phinjo in April.  We fly to London first, then to Bahrain where we will entertain the crowd by waving George Bush posters, then on to friendly, funky Kathmandu.  I will keep you posted
